Wave of color change for Gatineau?

The Gatineau Olympiques will reconnect with the colors they wore when they raised the first of their seven bowls of the President in 1985-1986. As in the days when Luc Robitaille, Guy Rouleau and Joe Foglietta rampant to build winning tradition of the Hull Olympiques, the next generation of Pageau Jean-Gabriel, Raphael and Mathieu Gagnon Lafontaine will wear the gray, silver and Black next September.

Sea Dogs to open up new season VS NB rivals

The 2011 Memorial cup champions have barely had time to let it all sink in .. And they know who they will open there 2011-12 season against.

On Thursday, September 8th 2011 Harbour Station will most likely be sold out, not because of the sea dogs raising there championship banners because the team has announced it will not be doing that until October 29th, The game is against one of the most hated teams in Sea Dog fans eyes.

If you have not already figured it out, The first QMJHL game of the season will be another chapter of the "Battle of New Brunswick". Saint John VS Moncton. Dogs VS Cats. Use any term you want to, but one thing is for sure. The first battle of the year between the two most recent QMJHL champions will be nothing short of fantastic.

Although no championship banners will fly, The team has announced there will be a pre-game ceremony allowing fans to get one last look at the presidents and memorial cup before they have to send them back to there league offices. Fans will also be able to get there photo taken with both of the cups.

Last year was another year of firsts for the newest New Brunswick based QMJHL team, and there hoping this will be a year of seconds ...

Untouchable ...

The Saint John Sea Dogs (53-6-1-2) Are Regular season champions ... Again!

The Sea Dogs secured the title with Saturdays 8-0 thumping of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles - With the crown they become the only team outside of quebec to win back to back regular season championships and only the 7th team to do it in general.

The team is also an unbelievable 30-0-1-1 on Home ice.

The Team also set 2 more records with that impressive win - Jonathan Huberdeau becomes the new all time leading scorer in the history of the team with 96 points beating the 2008-09 record of 95.

Jacob DeSerres also sets a new team record for most shut outs in a season with four ... The team has also tied there season best points with 109.

A trip to the 2011 Mastercard memorial cup would make this season about as close to perfect as you could get, and that's what the players, staff and fans are all after.

Beware the Dogs

Simply put, The Saint John Sea Dogs are closing in on a QMJHL record that was set back in 1973-1974 by the Sorel, Éperviers. The Record itself you may ask? Its most wins by a team in a single season.

Back in 1973-1974 Teams played a 72 Game Schedule, The Sorel Eperviers were successful in winning 58 Games that year ... The Saint John Sea Dogs are playing a 68 game season ... and already have 49. With 11 Games left on there schedule, and riding a 14 game winning streak through Quebec this weekend you know the Sea dogs are looking for 9 more wins.
